HOW TO ENTER:
The Janie Mae Reddick College Scholarship is awarded, on behalf of The Stompdown, to a deserving 11th, 12th High School student. The scholarship is not merit-based, nor financial need based. The main requirement is that you are committed to going to school and can express your goals for gaining higher education, in a 500-word essay. The winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship to help cover educational expenses. This award can be used at any college or university in the United States. The application deadline is April 15,2019. To qualify for The Janie Mae Reddick College Scholarship, you must:
1) Be a student in high school grade 11 or 12 2) Be a U.S. citizen or legal resident 3) Attend or plan to attend an accredited 2-year, 4-year, vocational school, or trade school in the U.S. 4) Be committed to using education to better your life and that of your family and/or community 5) Live within a 50-mile radius of the performance city or The Stompdown event. If you meet all the above requirements, we invite you to apply for The Janie Mae Reddick Scholarship. When ready, complete the application and submit your essay.
**The scholarship winner will be announced at The Stompdown Experience, and the winner must be in attendance to receive scholarship.**
